Chapel Hill Winery in McLaren Vale was built on the site of the Seaview Chapel and schoolhouse. The 1865 ironstone Chapel still proudly stands today and is an integral feature of the tasting room. Planting of the vineyard commenced in 1972 and the first vintage was in 1975.
Tasting Notes: The fruit for this Chardonnay is sourced from McLaren Vale, Adelaide Hills, and Coonawarra. Bright straw color with a pale straw hue. Top note of melon, followed by tropical fruit. The palate is quite straightforward with light citrus and tropical fruit flavors emerging. Lemon and tropical fruit aftertaste. A clean commercial wine.
